Christchurch, Lyndhurst & the New Forest
Located on the shores of its own natural harbour, traditional Christchurch is renowned for its eleventh century priory. We continue to Lyndhurst, an historic town at the heart of the New Forest where you’ll find antique shops, tearooms and ancient buildings. We then journey through the New Forest with its lush scenery, famous ponies and elusive deer.
Weymouth & Dorchester
Weymouth boasts a World Heritage Jurassic coastline and harbour, lined with al fresco cafés. The market town of Dorchester was the inspiration for fictional “Casterbridge” in Thomas Hardy’s novels and is home to a statue of the great author.
You’ll be spoilt for choice with the wide range of attractions at this captivating New Forest estate. View the exhibits at the National Motor Museum, explore the ancient abbey or enjoy a trip on a vintage bus and monorail. Perhaps discover the World of Top Gear and the Second World War Secret Army Exhibition then experience the gorgeous gardens. The highlight of your day will be our tour of the Gothic Victorian Palace House where costumed guides reveal the fascinating history of the building along with tales of its owners (seven day holidays only).
