Ledbury & Tewkesbury
Feast your eyes on two picture postcard market towns! First up is Ledbury where you’ll find an abundance of timber-framed dwellings – especially in much photographed Church Lane. We move on to the historic, riverside settlement of Tewkesbury, a living museum as well as a bustling town. Perhaps visit the abbey one of the finest examples of Norman architecture in Britain.
Monmouth & Brecon Beacons National Park
Our first treat is a visit to the handsome settlement of Monmouth, perched at the confluence of three rivers and featuring Tudor architecture and old coaching inns. From here, it’s onwards into the breathtaking Brecon Beacons with its exhilarating landscape of mountains, lakes, waterfalls, villages, castles and caves.
A half day visit to Hereford, an attractive town with riverbank walks and grand architecture including the splendid cathedral where you’ll find the Mappa Mundi – a famous medieval map of the world.
