Cardiff Castle & Hayes
Telling a story dating back over 2000 years, Cardiff’s gothic castle started life as a Roman fort, became a Norman castle then a Victorian gothic fantasy with gargoyles, furnished rooms and later, wartime shelters. From here, we continue to Hayes, the main shopping area of Cardiff with prestigious old library and St David’s Hall.
Tenby
This medieval settlement is enclosed by ancient walls with a maze of narrow streets, a fifteenth century church and a fascinating Tudor Merchant’s House – not to mention lovely blue flag beaches.
Porthcawl
We head along the coast for a morning visit to the seaside town of Porthcawl where you might like to stroll along the esplanade, relax on one of the sandy beaches or perhaps step back in time at the resort’s museum. This attraction showcases local heritage, culture and environment with displays of over eight thousand objects.
