Loch Linnhe Cruise
We journey to Fort William to board Souter Lass for a sightseeing cruise on Loch Linnhe, enhanced by fascinating commentary from the skipper. Feast your eyes on the soaring peaks of Ben Nevis, Britain’s highest mountain, enjoy the stunning scenery of Lochaber and watch out for wildlife such as porpoises, seals and perhaps even a golden eagle. Souter Lass has a comfortable, all weather viewing lounge where you’ll find a bar selling hot and cold drinks.
Strathspey Steam Railway & Aviemore
Our second excursion is a nostalgic trip on the Strathspey Steam Railway as we journey almost ten miles through unspoilt Highland scenery to awe inspiring Aviemore, where we enjoy free time to explore this popular town in the Cairngorms National Park. Perhaps view the paintings at the Laundry Art Gallery or the earthenware at Loch An Eilean Pottery.
West Highland Line & Mallaig
For our final trip we board our Scotrail diesel train for a forty mile trip on the dramatic West Highland Line to Mallaig, a coastal town overlooking the Isle of Skye, it contains a host of attractions such as the Heritage Centre and a genuine kipper smokery. We cross the spectacular multi-arched Glenfinnan Viaduct a landmark recognisable from the Harry Potter movies and rumble past the white sands of Morar.
