Dunrobin Castle
The most northerly of Scotland’s great houses, this beautiful castle dates from the early 1300s and resembles a French chateau with its towering conical spires. In more recent years it was used as a military hospital during World War I and later became a boys’ boarding school.

Glenmorangie Distillery Tour
Promising a warm Highland welcome from the skilled craftsmen who ensure that Glenmorangie is made in the same unhurried way it always has been. An expert guide will reveal the stages of whisky production from mashing and fermenting through to distilling and maturation. Of course, no tour would be complete without tasting a dram of the award winning whisky.

Dolphin Spirit Cruise
We head to Inverness to board our cruiser then set sail in search of blue-nosed dolphins in the Moray Firth. This stretch of water is surrounded by places of historic interest such as Chanonry Point with its iconic lighthouse.

Keswick & Cockermouth
Nestling on the shores of the Derwentwater, the heart of bustling Keswick is its quaint Market Square and 19th century Moot Hall. Perhaps visit the museums or local art and craft galleries or stroll to the lakeshore. We continue to Cockermouth, birthplace of William Wordsworth and home to the townhouse where he was born as well as a fascinating history wall depicting the town’s past.

Bowness-on-Windermere Cruise
We enjoy a leisurely cruise on the legendary lake and take time to look around Bowness - a sprawling tourist town in the heart of the Lake District with an exquisite Victorian influence.

Whitehaven & Workington
Enjoy a visit into the heart of Whitehaven for free time to explore the resort at your own pace – don’t miss the Dark Spirit of Whitehaven Warehouse. Later we make a stop in the coastal town of Workington at the mouth of the River Derwent where you’ll find a working harbour, historic churches and the Helena Thompson Museum with its displays of Georgian pottery, glass, silver and furniture.

Lancaster
Lancaster’s landmarks include a gothic revival cathedral, the Grade I listed priory and the Georgian townhouse known as the Judges Lodgings. Enjoy a stroll along the meandering towpaths or browse the quirky shops. Don’t miss the foreboding castle, a mighty fortress where you can delve into England’s dark past. One of the UK’s most significant historic monuments, this fortification has been a hotbed of witchcraft, religious persecution, crime, punishment and incarceration. Try out a medieval cell for size and view one of Europe’s most extensive collections of heraldic shields.

Southport
A day in coastal Southport where you might like to explore the landmark pier, stroll around the marine lake, relax on the sandy beach, browse the shops in refined Lord Street, visit the botanic gardens or wander along the promenade. For something a little bit different, the quirky British Lawnmower Museum promises a unique experience.
